The film has a very distinctive visual style. How did the conversation with the director evolve while defining the aesthetic of the short, and what were the main visual references you both looked at?

During prep, as we were developing the aesthetic for the short, Mooch shared a number of films with me as reference—Mean Streets, After Hours, and Taxi Driver being major inspirations. Those films helped ground the tone and visual language we were aiming for.
Mooch (Director) spent a significant amount of time building a detailed video animatic, and through that process he developed much of the dynamic camera movement and creative framing. Having such a clear blueprint of his vision allowed us to really push the execution on set.
Why did you choose the ARRI Signature Primes for this project? Can you describe their qualities?

Their consistency, ability to hold contrast when hit with light, pleasing falloff, and overall reliability made for a great on-set workflow...
