• Filters: None
• Grip: We used a dolly for the scenes featuring the protagonist, Henry Roberts. For the exterior scenes, we went handheld with an Easyrig.
• Lighting setup: For interiors, I combined different sources: hard lights outside the windows (Nanlux 2400B + Vortex 8 bounced on white fabrics), while inside I enhanced the practical candlelight with LiteMat 4 Plus Spectrum and LiteMat 2L Spectrum
for one key interior scene, I had a custom-built parabolic reflector with a handle, which I could use handheld as a kind of “candle torch” to illuminate the protagonist’s eyes.
For daylight exteriors, we used two ArriMax 18K units on cranes and additional fill with an ArriMax 9K from the ground.
