You shot the project in vertical anamorphic (9:17, desqueezed to 18:17). Can you tell us more about this choice?
In our initial meeting with the director, he wanted a 1:1 square format with a special bokeh and look. I felt it was a shame to crop the sensor and lose part of it, and achieving that unique look seemed very difficult. After much consideration, we decided on a vertical anamorphic approach, which solved all of these concerns.
