What inspired you to shoot the entire project on 35mm film
instead of digital or 16mm?
We shot it on 35 mainly because of director Erlandur Sveinssons burning passion for film. Film is very exotic in Iceland and its rarely used except of a few feature films. Since there are no film labs or stock available in Iceland, we had to bring in film from abroad — from Germany, thanks to our amazing focus puller Daniel Erb, and from Sweden, where I’m from. We basically bought as much as we could afford long before we even knew the locations
or the time of day we’d be shooting.
He’s invested in buying the camera we used and he wants to bring film back to Iceland.

How many rolls of film did you buy and how many did you use?
We shot two videos back to back for of monsters and men and had 16 rolls in total and actually split them perfectly between the videos by accident so 8 for Television Love. We shot it for 2 nights starting...
