What led you to choose the Badalamenti Suárez lenses for this project/ how did you first hear about them?
The Suárez set was being finalised when an excellent DP friend of mine Jairo “70mm” introduced me to their creator, Peppe Badalamenti. At that point the lenses were in need of field testing. After a camera prep at CSLA I knew they would be the perfect look. “I Don’t Care…” was the first music video shot with the completed Suárez Set. Thank you LVX!

How did they perform on set — did they deliver what you were looking for?
The Suárez lenses are controlled and characteristic. Wide open the focus fall off is lovely with a really subtle swirl. The lens renders detail clearly but...
